The Waterpolo boys played an early morning quarterfinal game against Hall 4 on friday with the hopes of making it to semis, but a score of 3-2 in favour of Hall 4 marked the end of our IH season. They played well the first half, taking control of the game when Chin Yaw scored the first goal. The other hall managed to score a goal at the last second however, and both teams went into the second half tied at a goal apiece. We managed to score another goal early in the second half, but Hall 4 came back with two more which despite our best efforts we could not match, resulting in the scoreline.
We are very proud of the Waterpolo team as most of them are first time players, and they put in much effort into training and are determined to come back stronger next year.
The Takraw team took on Hall 10 in the evening, taking them 3-0 to move on to the semis. Our boys dominated the court, with the first team of Leslie, Tiong and Malcolm winning 21-11. The margin widened in the second set, where Boon, Linus and Zhen Hong beat the other Hall 21-10. The last team consisting of Peng, Glenn and Steven kept up the excellent performance, winning their set to seal the win. They move on to the semis, congratulations boys!
